Coop Birthday Party Place - Christmas Special #409 12/04/2012

Shark Tank Christmas Special - 12/04/2012
Juliet Boydstun & Lucinda Lent
Founder's of the "Coop"

Holy Coop Batman, this looks like a lot of FUN. These Coop Chicks Juliet Boydstun & Lucinda Lent just might be on to something here. A fun filled, jam packed, kid (and Adult) friendly party place that you won't forget anytime soon. The Coop is located in Studio City, CA and guarantees that the young and not so young will have a Great Time inside the Party Place.

Throwing the ultimate "customized" party is what the Coop is all about. In fact, this is the preferred place that a lot of celebrities bring their kid's during special events. An entire place filled with all kinds of things to keep the kids entertained while you enjoy a nice cup of coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.

Planning The Ultimate "Personalized" Birthday Party

Coop on the Shark Tank Show
Star Wars Birthday Party at the Coop in Los Angeles
The #1 problem in throwing a Great Birthday Party is having enough activities to keep everyone busy while still having a good time. This includes the adults which sometimes get left out in the over-all planning. The #2 problem is on deciding on the theme and making sure there is enough treats to go around for everyone. The Coop Party Place has thought of all this plus a whole lot more. You simply decide on your custom party theme and tell them how many to expect, and That's It!
The Coop will throw you a party that the kids will be talking about for a long time and begging you to go back for more. An Entire Party Place all set up just for their special day.

I Like the Coop concept but I want to throw a Birthday Party at Home.

Ready for another "personalized"
Birthday Party
Can the Coop Chicks help me with the theme and the many aspect's of throwing a great party?

A a matter a fact, Yes! And this will be one of the reason's IMO why the Shark Tank will be interested in investing in the Coop. If your not in the L.A. area your can order what's called the "Coop Party 2 Go" from their website. They will pack up everything you need for whichever theme you decide and ship it right to your door. A Party In A Box.
If you happen to live in the Los Angeles Area, they will bring the Coop Party to you and do all the work setting it up and helping run the birthday party.

The Coop was first started back in 2009 and has been featured in numerous publications. Having several celebrities show up for birthday party's has certainly added to it's credibility as "the place" to go.
The price for a full fledged party at the Coop for 15 kid's starts at $595 and runs all the way up to $2,300 for the whole Coop and Caboodle package. With price points such as these, I would expect Boydstun & Lent to have some impressive sales numbers for the Sharks to digest. It's going to come down to what they have planned for the future and how big of a stake they are willing to let the Sharks invest in their company. A reasonable valuation at the beginning will most likely lead to a deal with at least one Shark and a Very Memorable Christmas for the Coop Chicks.

For that kind of money it better be a really really good party. Good to see Barbara Corcoran buy into the coop concept. Seems to be a good fit.

  2. Their prices are so out of line, it's not funny. They may be "competitive" in LA, but they're insane for the real world. $350 for FIFTEEN gift bags? Plus shipping? And additional charges for custom party ideas (anything not from their list of 10 or so ideas). Good luck to them. This may do well on the coast, in large cities, with the trophy wives, but that's it.

I totally agree!!! I checked out their site and about laughed at the crate to go prices. Went to my local party store and bought enough decorations filled goodie bags, plates etc for 24 kids and it only cost me $115

  3. San francisco venues are also the beautiful party venues which provide an unobstructed and nice view for the coming guests.

not just the prices are crazy, but the idea of it being hard thing to think of a theme, its not hard at all! thats the fun of it, to look around and find things that go with the theme selected. but prices are waaay too high!!

  7. If business is good, how in the world can prices be too high?

They're too high for you, Anonymous.

Yes people pay this and yes people like when it is all ready to go and easy to walk away from. Especially from the standpoint of two working spouses with little time to invest in party planning.

Time is money when it comes to living in bigger cities. I agree this is a lot of money for a family that isn't used to all of the other absurd prices we pay for normal day to day activities while living in L.A. However in my opinion, not having to worry about all the trimmings (set-up, clean-up, running around not being able to enjoy the company of your guests, etc.) is worth the price. Keep in mind, it's not just the toys in bags and decorations, but you're paying for the use of someone's space and convenience. And just a note: not everyone who lives in L.A are in the entertainment industry or are "movie stars".
