Fat Ass Fudge on Shark Tank Christmas Special
So where does a name like Fat Ass Fudge come from? From one of the few people that could call you that and get away with it. When Donna McCue was celebrating her 60th birthday with all 7 of her brother's and sister's she made her famous fudge dating back to her Grandma's secret recipe. Her brother convinced Donna that she should sell her fudge and asked what she would call it. Without hesitation she says "I would probably name it after what you called me growing up, Fat Ass". The name stuck not because it will actually make your ass fat but because it has a "memorable" ring to it and one your not likely to forget. New York was not as enthusiastic about the Brand's name and turned down  her first application she filed for a new business name. McCue convinced them that it was all in good fun and more of a "branding" statement then anything offensive. She has been selling the Fat Ass Fudge ever since dating back to 2008.

To Make The BEST Fudge - You Use The Best Ingredients There Is (period)

To make a single batch of the fat Ass Fudge takes Donna McCue a full two hours of pure love using only the very best ingredients possible. She starts with 72% pure dark Belgin chocolate blended with organic goats milk for that extra creamy texture. Using regular butter would seem like an obvious choice for most fudge, but not if you want a fat ass. McCue opts for the much more expensive goats milk butter which ad's to the over-all mouth watering unique taste.

Selling The Fat Ass Fudge Brand

Christmas Special on Shark Tank 12/04/2012O.K. now, have you ever bought a product not because you needed it or even necessarily wanted it, but because you just really liked the person who was selling it? We'll after watching a video of Donna McCue selling Fat Ass Fudge at the farmer's market in the East Hampton's, it would be very hard to resist not buying something from her, even if it did make your ass fat..;)
She comes off as a very likable person that the Sharks are going to have a very hard time saying no to. As a matter a fact, I will even go as far and say Donna will get a Deal with at least one Shark on December 4th.

This is the perfect holiday product that has a very memorable Brand name, would make a great gift idea and they would of had the time to ramp up production before the Shark Tank Christmas Episode to meet demand  for the flood of order's. Everyone loves a good "fun" gift amongst relatives and close friend's, but one that also taste's good and can be shared? Yes, that's a Clear Winner for any Holiday Special.

Good Luck Donna, I'm Sure Your Going To Do Just fine In The Shark Tank.

  1. I can't wait to go to Whole Foods to taste this stuff. I am gluten-free and I LOVE chocolate. Remember, there are other fish in the sea. Keep pushing! Soon investors will be fighting to be a part of your success.

To be sure of something and not be waivered because of a few non-believers is not looney. However, sometimes you have to get a lil crazy in order to deal with the madness! No deal for her -true, but she is profiting and as we all know sales/marketing eventually pays off once you generate a firm clientele!

      Best wishes!

It's a shame you didn't get a deal, but the exposure alone from the show will do you just fine Donna!! You will have an investor before you know it! I loved your attitude (and facial expressions, lol) on the show, have already checked out your website and will order me some fudge! :P~~ btw, you never did tell Mark what your dream was about! lmao!

Despite not receiving a deal, I must say that Donna is going to make it! Her idea is a great idea, there are many people that buy treats all the time. She just has to find a way to market herself better. As long as she can calm herself down a lil bit (so that others do not think she is out of her mind), I believe she will definitely find the path of success. These investors may not have seen the BIG picture, but they are not the ONLY investors/businessmen that are successful either. In my opinion, she has a great chance! And I urge her to push forward, all successful businessmen have failed at one thing at least before they struck the gold! Let this show be that epic fail that leads towards your success!
    Best wishes!

  6. Congratulations Donna on your appearance on the Shark Tank Show. Our prediction with the Sharks may of been off but the success of Fat Ass Fudge has only gained in strength. You made a very memorable impression with a memorable Brand that will be hard to forget anytime soon.
Off the top of my head I honestly can think of only one Brand of fudge and that's the "Fat Ass Fudge". The name/brand alone is worth a small fortune.
