The Heat Helper on Shark Tank

Dryer Heater - Season 3 - Episode 11 - Update

Heat Helper on Shark Tank Season 3, episode, 311
Lyle Schuette Inventor of
The Heat Helper
Now the Dryer Heater invention, you have to admit, is one cool invention that could help keep you warm. As Lyle Schuette demonstrated on the Shark Tank Show, when you use your dryer you are essentially pulling in heated air that you have already paid for and sending it right outside your dryer hose. This sound's like a big problem and it may be costing you more money then you might think.

Lyle Schuette came into the Shark Tank about as pumped up as any contestant I have ever seen. His enthusiasm quickly won over the Sharks but was it enough for them to open up their check books? Demonstrating how the Heat Helper takes the warm air generated by your dryer and returns it back into your home instead of losing it through the vent, made perfect sense to me. Not only are you saving money on your heating bill by replacing the air that gets sucked up in the dryer, your dryer actually becomes a source of heat thereby reducing when your heater will kick on.  The Heat Helper also has a handy valve to release the heat during the summer months and capture it during the winter.

The Heat Helper is easy to setup.
As good of an idea that this is, it was actually invented first as a way to raise the dryer up off the ground so his wife wouldn't have to bend over as far. With the added space created under the dryer, Schuette began designing the Heat Helper so the heat could be captured and sent out the front of the dryer. Lyle claims that the Heat Helper will pay for itself within a year.

Unfortunately Schuette was unable to secure a deal with the Sharks even though he was willing to give up 50% of the business for only $100k at the start of negotiations. He was however prepared for the Shark Tank Effect when it first aired on March 2, 2012 and quickly sold several hundred unit's within a short amount of time. Let's hope Lyle is just as prepared for the re-run that will air this Friday Night which is proving almost as popular in the ratings as the brand new episodes.  Not many t.v. shows can say that, but The Shark Tank Show sure can!

Just do what his mom did and either use panty hose or buy the kit at Walmart for A LOT less

or you could support small business and purchase something like this that is purposefully made to be efficient and make use of the air without worrying about excess moisture or lint.

I purchased it from them. 1 load, heater off, temp raised 2 degrees. Was difficult to put together, but I'm not very handy....the thing works, I'm sold! Already shared concept with tons of folks.

If my laundry room is in a separate room in the house will it actually heat the entire house or just that room? I know that the door would obviously have to be open but how far does the heat travel?

Naturally the smaller your house the more effective the device will be at heating your home. Most dryer stands cost well over $100 so if you already want a dryer stand then this is a great idea.
