Shrink Wrap Gift Bags

Shrink Wrap Gift Bags on Shark Tank

Cool Wraps Wrapping Boxes - Season 4 - Episode 419 - 3/29/2013

Seen on the Shark Tank - season 4, episode 419
The shrink wrap gifts bags will have you wrapping gifts like a pro with your very first present. Jeffrey Miller is the inventor of the patented cool wrap gift bags that completely transforms how we will be wrapping presents in the future using no tape or scissors. With Cool Wraps you simply put your present inside the specially designed bag that has built-in tape to secure the opening. You then simply shrink wrap the patented bag using your hair dryer for a perfect gift wrap every time.

This sure looks like a cool invention that someone should of thought of several years ago. As a matter a fact the Cool Wraps have indeed been around for at least a dozen years but does not seem to of gained much traction for being around for so long. One thing that really baffles me about this product is the site (I really like the domain name BTW) has changed very little over the years and still appears to be a one page website with no real information on how much the Shrink Wraps Gift Bags even cost. Jeffrey has owned the Coolwraps.com domain name going back to 1999 and has been promoting the Shrink Wrap Gift Bags online since at least 2001.

Will the Sharks get into the Shrink Wrap Gift Business?

Statistically speaking if you are going to be featured on the Shark Tank (especially if you do indeed get a Shark to invest prior to when the show airs) you will most definitely have your website completely updated and ready for massive traffic as the Shark Tank Effect takes a hold and thousands of customers will show up to support your new business.
Unfortunately the first thing I see when I go to their site is "CoolWraps - patent and trademark is for sale or available for licensing". They also have a small banner that says "As seen On ABC's Shark Tank" which is the only click able link that does not even go to the Official Shark Tanks page.

If you want more information on the CoolWraps Jeffery does have a email address and his phone number listed but no details on how much they cost or even the various sizes available. Apparently these details can only be obtained if you like the product enough to call him directly. Can you imagine a few hundred thousand people trying to call you all at the same time? How could anyone take full advantage of being on the Shark Tank with no automated process set up to handle this type of volume. In two simple words "You Can't".

Grant it by looking at the sites history that has changed very little in over a decade, it is clear that this product was not intended to be sold directly to the general public but instead Miller may have been looking for a strategic partnership for all these years. He sure made the right decision to get the publicity out there on his invention and may even find that elusive business partner from being on the Shark Tank. But as far as getting a deal with any of the Sharks, it does not look promising especially if he has had very limited sales thus far to back up his valuation. How can you have sales if your not even asking for an order and making it difficult to find out how much it even costs? Is using the Shrink Wrap Gift Bags comparable to the costs of using wrapping paper and Scotch tape? If so how much? So many questions and yet so few answers.

The good news is Jeffrey Miller still has time to take full advantage before he will be in front of millions of people that will be interested in his invention. This article is being written one week prior to the airing and who knows, they may be waiting before they bring a more informative website online. Sure you may not get that huge deal that brings in orders by the tens of thousands but that doesn't mean you can't be selling thousands of gift bags to the general public in the mean time.

I really do hope I am wrong about this one because I am the worst gift wrapper of all time. This is one product that I myself would buy if I can only find out how to even purchase it.

One thing is for sure, with so many questions on this product and the questions raised on another product that will be on the same show (The Drop Stop) it will make for a very interesting episode on the Shark Tank and one not to be missed.

Well, of course it's on back order. The girl clearly needed money to step up production, and because of the showing of Shark Tank, she sold out of everything she had. Not too surprising.

I JUST ORDERED A JAR OF THE SIMPLE SUGAR. TRY AGAIN. AS FAR AS THE SHRINK GIFT WRAP, THE WEB SITE SAYS THE PATENT AND TRADE NAME ARE FOR SALE, SO IT APPEARS TO HAVE GONE BUST.

so why hasn't mark Cuban taken control of the Website and sent 2-3 of his IT guys to get it up and running. Would have thought he would move fast to capitalize on shark tanks airing. Maybe the deal hasn't officially gone through yet? how long before the show airs is the show recorded?

Jeffery's website leaves me frustrated and it is worse than gift wrapping. I laughed when he was talking to the Sharks and did not know what to say. I actually said out loud he has no (stage)presence. Then for some reason thought it was funny he was talking about presents. I knew it was a good idea. It is shrinky dinks for gift wrapping. Yet he was a horrible business man glad that Mark and Laurie wanted to buy the business outright. People want this product. Mark is gonna make mucho deniro off these.

Laurie, with all of her contacts, just doesn't know if she can market the gift wrapping product because it is a ten year old idea. My sister would do an impeccable job gift wrapping all of our Christmas gifts in front of my mother. Then she would unwrap them all to show my brother and I what we got for Christmas and then she would rewrap them back up. Hey Lori, let me gift wrap you a present and them tell me some bedtime story of whether you can sell this product on QVC.

  15. It is "not yet" available for sale. So looks like they are working on it. But everyone is right, how long does it take to get this site up and running! Ridiculous!

  16. Well, the importance of wrapping the gift is not less than the selection of the best gift. Wrapping a gift perfectly enhances its beauty many times and allows looking unique and stylish as well. There are various gift ideas to be given as corporate gift in the market these days and choosing the best among these is a very much important task. With choosing the best gift wrapping it perfectly matters a lot so it is also needed to be done carefully and completely.

Not all Shark Tank deals go forward when the cameras stop rolling. Ask Robert Herjevic that! He backs out of a lot of deals that no one hears about. Seems Mark Cuban must have backed out of this one, too, or realized it's a bust. Being close to Christmas, I came looking for the wrapping, too, espeically sine it has re-aired twice on ABC. Not sure why it's still such a mess! Cuban dropped the ball on this one. Lori Greiner should have bought it and did something GREAT WITH IT!
