Coffee of the Month Club - season 4 - Episode 421
Misto Box season 4 episode 421
Samantha Meis and Conor Riley
Inventors of the Misto Box Coffee Club
Have you ever seen a new business that you just know it will succeed? It's not very often that a product coming to the Shark Tank is one I cannot wait to try before I even see them on the show. The Misto Box full of gourmet coffee from around the world is such a product that I'd swear was made just for me. In fact, I have already registered with Misto Box and look forward to my first cup of coffee from a roaster I very well may of never tried any other way.

The Misto Box Coffe Club was first started by two very ambitious entrepreneurs Samantha Meis and Conor Riley from Tucson, Arizona. They started with a great idea and received the needed capital to start Misto Box with a Successful Kicktarter Campaign that ended exactly one year ago today. With almost $10,000.00 raised during the campaign, they have now solidified themselves as coffee connoisseur's with a taste for unique blends found all around the world.

This is not your average coffee club where they send you a new blend every month and never hear from them til next month. With the Misto Box you get 4 unique coffee blends each month from smaller roasters with their own unique taste's. You will also get personal information from the roaster and the best way to brew a perfect cup of coffee. You can also conveniently order larger quantities of your favorite new coffee for the month directly from the Misto Box Website.

With more and more independent coffee roaster's trying to get on the Misto Box Coffee Club's list they best have something special if it will ever make the final cut and become associated with the Best Coffee Club in the World. In fact Misto Box personally taste tests over 50 new coffee blends each month to pick only 4 that make the final cut. You are guaranteed NEVER to receive the same coffee blends twice if you are a part of the coffee club of the month.

Misto Box also offers a huge list of coffee brewing goods and accessories that will help you to become a coffee connoisseur and make that perfect cup of coffee the way it was intended to be brewed. YES it really does make a difference. you can learn a lot about the whole process and all the ways to make coffee from the Misto Box Website.

Misto Box before the Shark Tank

If you haven't figured it out by now I am a Big Coffee Lover and love to try new blends all the time. Sure, we always have a big jug of Folgers Coffee next to the coffee maker but every now and then it's nice to spend a little more time and have an exceptional cup of flavored coffee. The problem is it's sometimes hard to decide on a new blend especially if I am not familiar with Brand. With so many to choose from and not enough information to make an informed decision, I will sometimes walk away and stick with what I already know. We'll this company just made those decisions a whole lot easier for me and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there that can see these benefits to joining a coffee club such as Misto Box.

It's a great idea but will the Sharks want to take a bite out of this unique coffee business? My moneys on not only will they, but they will be willing to bid the price of this business up amongst themselves and end up giving Samantha and Conor a much better deal then they ever could of hoped for before walking in the Shark Tank. Hows that for positive thinking?  Something tells me that the Sharks will love this idea as much as I and many thousands of other coffee drinkers will.

Good Luck Samantha and Conor
We will be cheering for ya!

  1. Monthly subscription services are not half as attractive to consumers as they might have been 2 decades back because the internet disincentivizes people from paying someone else to be a subject matter expert at something they love which is not an intellectual matter but rather a sourcing one. Furthermore no investor in their right mind would ever invest in such a business model as recurring revenue streams are not guaranteed which continually pushes up the cost per customer acquisition and more importantly retention. I bet this company will fold within the next two quarters.

    1. Shiv,
I hate to burst your ego but Mark Cuban DID invest in Misto Box. Last time I checked, his net-worth was pretty high and most likely, higher than yours.
      Best to you, though.

I love this idea and just ordered the sampler for $5.00. If I like the coffee and the service that comes with it I most likely will join on a monthly basis.

I am not a coffee conniseur. But I like the idea of giving a different taste and let the consumer pick up what they like.
