Shark Tank Episode 410 Update

Next Shark Tank Show

Episode 410 Rerun - April 12, 2013
Valuable Lessons Learned!

seen on shark Tank season 4, episode 410
Michael Tseng Blows Huge Deal on the
Shark Tank Show #410
The bad news is we have another rerun for this Friday Nights Shark Tank Show. The good news is, It's One Of The Most Memorable Episode's EVER! If I had to pick (I like all of them) just a few episodes of the Shark Tank that really stand out, episode 410 is clearly near the top. This is a "Must Watch" if you have any ideas of going on the show and one worth watching multiple times for that matter. There is an entire semester's worth of learning in just this one episode alone.

No Fly Cone

This Shark Tank Show starts out with Bruce Gaither and the really cool new No Fly Cone - Fly Trap. I still like this fly trap idea but needs to be marketed in a Different way. Flies might like poop, but people usually do not. Unfortunately the No Fly Cone will also always be remembered as having the worst celebrity spokesperson ever (in my opinion) when Seth MacFarlane did a horrible job helping out his so called friend. I didn't know who MacFarlane was before the show but I will never forget him now. Maybe next time he will chose a product that he can at least look like he's interested in.

The Cool Wazoo

If you ever want to succeed at "Anything" and you are determined to make it a reality no matter what the obstacle's, YOU NEVER GIVE UP! That's exactly what Ginelle Mills did when she presented the Cool Wazoo and won over thousands of new fans in the process. Ginelle has a cool invention but the costs are way out of whack to make a decent profit. Without the Sharks help to bring down production cost's, the Cool Wazoo most likely will never become a reality.

All 5 Sharks are not willing to make an investment in the Cool Wazoo and proceed to go out. This is when Mill's does something that has never been done on the Shark Tank. Perseverance and the determination not take no for an answer ends up getting a deal for exactly what she was looking for.

Plate Topper

Ah yes, the plate topper. There is a reason why there is only three contestants on episode 410 instead of the usual four, and Michael Tseng and the plate topper is that reason. The Shark Tank Show might be a great way to get a much needed investment in your company, but it is still a Reality Show First. Michael spent nearly double the time inside the Shark Tank as most contestants do which resulted in perhaps the most memorable negotiations ever seen on the show. The Plate Topper was such a good idea that he gets two offers for over 10 times what he was initially asking for. We'll if the Sharks will pay 10 times what your asking for then they will pay even more, Right?

Lesson Number 410-3
Unless your name is Mr. Wonderful it's never a good idea to get greedy inside the Shark Tank.

Nail Pak Update

Barbara Lampugnale is the entrepreneur of the highly successful Nail Pak Duality Cosmetics first seen in season 3 when she completed a deal with Lori Greiner for $50,000.00 and 40% of the business. If there is a lesson to learn in Barbara's story, much like Ginelle, is never give up on your dream. If you believe in your product and in yourself, you will be prepared to do what ever it takes to succeed. That even includes putting your own home up for collateral if that's what it takes. That's exactly what Lampugnale did and actually lost her house in the process.

Most would give up right there and forget about that illusive dream to become an entrepreneur, but not Barbara Lampugnale. She was determined to do what ever it takes to succeed and SHE DID! The Nail Paks can now be found in hundreds of retail stores across the country and continues to sell out on QVC every time they are featured.

This may be another rerun but one worth watching multiple times!

Michael Tseng (Plate Topper) messed up. But even after messing up, and it got down to all the sharks getting out, if I were Michael, I would have said no to Lori's counter offer. He has the product no one else has, that they all want. The 5 sharks are not the only Financier's in this country. He would have easily got someone else. Michael went in fully prepared with the pitch. What he wasn't prepared for were the offers... an extra zero from one and a Million from another. His head spun too fast and couldn't come back from that. End of the day, he holds the patent and it would only be a matter of time before he got everything he wanted. I'm surprised he only asked for 90k to begin with.
