Shark Tank Season 4 Episode 419
Tonight's Shark Tank Episode was first seen on ABC March 29, 2013, now has some very interesting updates since that time. Starting with the Duo that solved the Carmuter Triangle, to one of the youngest and Most Successful Entrepreneurs ever featured on the Show. We also have one super cool new invention that makes anyone a professional gift wrapper, to a business that really needs everyone help before the Atlantic Coast is changed forever.
Drop Stop Update:
The Drop Stop solves the problem of things dropping in between your car seat and center console. This is the very first business started by Marc Newburger & Jeffrey Simon that was featured with other Shark Tank Products before they were even featured on the show. Obviously this is a major problem for millions of Drivers and boy have their numbers proved it. Before their presentation with the Sharks, over a quarter of a million units had already been sold with over $1.3 million in sales.
Lori Greiner did indeed invest in the Drop Stop as predicted before the show, investing $300k for a 20% equity stake in the business.
The lion fish are clearly out of control in the Atlantic Ocean with the problem growing faster then anyone predicted. Once thought that the lion fish were only populating along the reefs in shallow waters, has now confirmed they are actually populating in large numbers in deeper waters as well. In fact the lion fish are thriving in deeper waters and growing much bigger then their shallow water counterparts. A extra large lionfish is capable of laying several times more eggs then the smaller ones which is helping explode their numbers even faster.
Is this epidemic that's taking over the entire Atlantic Coast already past the point of no return? It's scary to think what the Ocean make look like in another 10 to 20 years from now if this problem is not solved. Traditional Fisheries is trying to solve this problem through our taste bud's as a new fish delicacy.
Unfortunately they did not get a deal for Traditional Fisheries on the Shark Tank but they did get a lot of attention to this evasive fish that is taking over the entire coast. The website looks much the same as it did 4 months ago which is never a good sign for progress especially after receiving so much publicity. There is no way of ordering lionfish directly from the website but you can call in an order. I just wonder how they can handle thousands of orders coming in at the same time after the Shark Tank airs. Simple answer, You Can't! This is a major problem and still no real solution to stop the problem from getting worse.
Simple Sugars Scrubs
The Simple Sugars Scrubs started by the 18 year old entrepreneur Lani Lazzari, turned out to be one of the most successful fastest growing companies even seen on the Shark Tank Show. The interest for Her products overwhelmed Lani and Mark Cuban as orders were 20 times greater then expected. It took a few months to catch up, but now they are and with new products they just introduced to the lineup. Mark Cuban says this is one of his best Investments he has ever made on the Shark Tank.
Cool Wrap Shrink Wrap Bags Update:
The Cool Wraps really is a cool idea. You just put a present inside the bag and hit it with a blow dryer. Jeffery Miller came into the Shark Tank looking for $100k for a 40% in his invention. Jeffery walked out of the Tank with Mark Cuban buying the entire business for $250k with a 3% royalty.
It's A Great Idea and a Great product that will sell, BUT what happened? With the exception of the For Sale sign on the website gone, nothing else has changed. You still can't buy it or even put in a pre order when they become available. I guess when your a billionaire with dozens of successful products, you can afford to put some of them on the shelf for future development.
It really is staggering to think Mark would let this type of publicity pass by without taking advantage of it in some form or another. Hopefully the Cool Wraps will be out before Christmas time
