Does anyone know what time it is? It's Shark Tank Time! Yeees, Shark Tank Season 5 starts next Friday 9/20/2013 at 9.p.m. eastern. First off I'd like to thank all the Sharks for coming back from a very successful season 4 where they shattered all previous records. Each and every one of you have become Stars in your own right and it's because of you the Shark Tank has become so successful. Yes, that even goes for Mr. Wonderful that I have grown to like and value his opinion more than ever before. Shark Tank would be a completely different show without you Kevin.
One things for sure, the producers are mixing up the show and creating more competition amongst the Sharks which should result in better offers for the contestants. The Season 5 premiere will also make Shark Tank History when both Barbara Corcoran and Lori Greiner will appear on the Shark Tank together. I can only imagine some of the one liners we are bound to hear that's been building up for years. We also have some new money from two new billionaire's Steve Tisch and John Paul DeJornia which is sure to add to a very successful record year.

Who's The New Shark Tank Season 5 Stars?

Lynnae's Gourmet Pickles

The Lynnae's Gourmet Pickle business was started by two very energetic partners Lynnae Scheller and Aly Cullinane from Tacoma, Washington. Taking an old secret family recipe handed down from Grandma Toots, the two have been selling their pickles by the thousands.

Sweet Ballz - Cake Balls

Another Specialty Food Business being featured on Shark Tank Season 5 is the Sweet Ballz. I've had some really good cake balls in my day, but never thought about putting sweet ballz in my mouth. Apparently they're good enough to be in thousands of 7-11 Stores, so it will be interesting if Jame's McDonald can get any of the Sharks to take a bite out of the Sweet Balls Business.

Postcard on the Run

Post Card On The Run comes into the Shark Tank having already raised over $1.6 million from other investors and now seeking another investment from the Sharks. John Brook's is the entrepreneur behind the custom postcards made from any photo on your smart phone, and sent anywhere in the world with a single click. Celebrity Star Selina Gomez was an early investor in this business and has a lot to make (or lose) depending on how the Sharks treat the Postcard On The Run Business.

What do I think about this business/concept? My oldest Son just left for College in Japan last week for an entire year. After researching the Postcard On The Run App, I have already sent him the link and look forward to getting a "real" postcard (or two) during his stay. Yes sure I know, just go look on his Facebook page and see the picture's he'll be posting there. Maybe I'm old fashion, but an inexpensive gift such as this would mean a great deal more to me, and something I would always treasure. Great Idea!!!

Patients Like Me

The Patients Like Me website was started by two Brothers who are also Doctors, and have developed this site putting folks with simular diagnosis in touch with one another. Already having over 220,000 registered members, this "free" site already has over 1 million treatment & symptom reports available for over 2000 medical conditions. It's a great Idea that is sure to help thousands of new patients (and their families) after Shark Tank Season 5 begins.

Wicked Good Cupcakes Featured Update

The Wicked Good Cupcake's has already been chosen as a Successful Featured Product seen late in season 4 on episode 422. In April of this year, Mother/Daughter Business team Tracey Noonan and Dani Desroches made a deal with Kevin O'Leary which IMO was not a good deal. O'Leary offers the $75k for no equity, but he wants $1 for every Wicked Good Cupcake sold until he gets his money back. Kevin then wants 50 cents for every cupcake sold into perpetuity (forever). He's made crazy offers like this before, but to my knowledge this is the first time any entrepreneur accepted a deal such as this.

Good deal or not, the Wicked Good Cupcakes have had tremendous success paying back Kevin O'Leary in record time. Fortunately during the negotiations, Tracy and Dani were able to talk Kevin down to a 45 cent fee after he was paid back his original $75k investment. It might only be a nickel, but in this case that nickel is now worth a small fortune all its own.
