Purse Case on Shark Tank
|Mini Purse w/ Cell Phone Case|
It took Kelly and Jenn several months developing the ultimate mini purse that not only protects your smart phone; you can also take pictures and make calls while still inside the PurseCase. There's also room for a mirror, credit cards, pocket for cash and a stylish chain that can be converted into a bracelet. After they had the proto type complete and an overwhelming positive response from everyone that seen the Purse Case, Deese and Coughlan decided on the Kickstarter route to help fund their new invention.
As most people already know, when you start a crowd funding campaign at Kickstarter.com it's an all or nothing proposition whether you get funded or not. This can be tricky because if you set your goal to low and receive the funding, this could backfire if it's not enough capital to complete bringing your invention to market. Both Jenn and Kelley thought long and hard to determine "exactly" what the figure needed to be for the Purse Case to go into production and make their dream a reality. They decided on a very ambitious $35,000.00 goal and started their Crowdfunding Campaign on February 25, 2013. The Pursecase campaign ended March 29, 2013 with a combined $35,114.00 in total pledges. Percentage wise that's about as close as you'd ever want to come, but then again, some things are just meant to be and the Purse Case is clearly one of them. There is a "Very Good Reason" Jenn Deese and Kelley Coughlan have come so far in a short amount of time and has now landed on the Best Business Reality Show in History, The Shark Tank Show!!!
But these two aspiring Entrepreneurs have a little something up their sleeves that no other contestant on the Shark Tank has ever had. There are hundreds of successful crowd funding campaigns that have a problem keeping the momentum going after their new product is on the market. What they really need at this point is a good PR Agency (Public Relations) to help further promote the new Brand. It just so happens Jenn Deese and Kelley Coughlan own their own Public Relations Firm called MelrosePR which puts a whole new spin on the potential Major Success of the Mini Purse Case.
Purse Case Review before Shark Tank Update:
One of the biggest complaints on what seems to be a lot of successful crowdfunding campaigns has to do with unforeseen delays and getting the product made and shipped out "on time". This was never a problem for the Purse Case which was shipped out as promised and now already into full production in several new colors. Sales have continued to climb which resulted in the reduced price of a Purse Case to only $29 each. That's the "perfect price point" Lori Greiner loves to target and guess what, she's on tonight's Shark Tank Show.
|Now what could Lori Greiner and Barbara Corcoran|
possibly be talking about?
