What's one of the main problems traveling with small children at the airport this time of year? With all the long lines of crowded people all seemingly in a hurry, it doesn't take long to wear the little ones out in quick fashion. But you only have so much room on the airplane for your luggage, and even if you did have a stroller to make their journey more pleasant, there's nowhere to store it on the airplane, right? With 99.9% of all luggages made these days you would be absolutely right. But this Ride On Carry On attaches to any wheeled carry-on luggage and instantly transforms it into a travel stroller.

Attachment for Carry-On Luggage
The inventors of this really neat idea for the Ride On Carry On attachment is Darryl and Randy Lenz. At the time of this Shark Tank Episode which aired in the second Season and on Jeff Foxworthy's first appearance as a Shark, the business had already been established for 14 years. During that time they already sold over 20,000 units of the Ride On-Carry On patented product with 2000 units sold in the year prior.

Randy and Darryl Lenz before the Shark Tank Interview

When Darryl and Randy walked into the Shark Tank they were asking $50,000.00 for a 25% equity stake in their luggage business. Darryl spent the last 27 years as a flight attendant and seen first-hand how this unique product could help thousands of parents while traveling within the airport. The Lenz's had zero inventory at the time they went in front of the Sharks, but had 2000 unfulfilled orders waiting to be produced. Randy knowing this was Jeff Foxworthy's first appearance inside the Shark Tank, came prepared with a Red Neck Joke concerning strolling you're kid's around the airport on your luggage which was kind of funny if you think about it.

A few of the Sharks started going out when Barbara Corcoran (who was mentioned in the video above) decided She had heard enough and offered the Lenz's exactly the investment they were asking for, $50k for 25% of the Business. Kevin O'Leary smelling a lot of money in the air decides to make his own offer of $50k but only wants 20% of the Ride On Carry On Business. But he wants them to stop all their manufacturing and stop selling the luggage/stroller on the website. Instead Mr. Wonderful (this was also the first time Kevin ever used his self-appointed name BTW) wants the Lenz's to find him two large luggage manufactures and he'll close a licensing deal with them. Without much hesitation, Randy and Darryl gladly accept Barbara Corcoran's deal giving up an additional 5% equity.

Ride On Carry On Shark Tank Update

The deal with Barbara Corcoran did indeed get completed with the Lenz's receiving a $50k check as agreed upon during the Show. Using this capital to further redesign the Ride On Carry On Stroller as we'll as upgrade the website, sales quickly exploded to over a half a million dollars soon after they appeared on the Shark Tank. They now have distributors all around the world carrying the Ride On Carry On Stroller with Amazon being the #1 Distributor in the USA
