Lord Nut Levington on Shark Tank

"Famous Spicy Nuts"
on Shark Tank Episode 519
The entrepreneur behind the Lord Nut Livington is Sanjiv Patel, a businessman with a passion for Spicy Nuts, and a love for doing business in the U.S. that may be in jeopardy if he doesn't secure an investment from the Sharks. Patel is currently operating Lord Levinton on a Special Green Card known as an "Investor Immigrant Visa". He came to the U.S. and invested a million dollars to start his nut company, but needs to create 10 new jobs in a hurry, or risk losing his Green Card and potentially forced to go out of business.
With a deadline lurking that could make Lord Nut Levington's Nuts a household name, or forced to leave the United States if the business doesn't hire the minimum 10 workers, Patel has been working double time to insure it's success. So far (as near as I can tell before this episode of the Shark Tank) Lord Nut's is already available in over 600 stores, and on Amazon Prime for online ordering .
Last year's sales came in at $300,000.00 with only two full time employees, which is a good start for a new peanut brand going up against the likes of Planter's who currently dominate this market. To achieve this ambitious goal set by the U.S. Immigration Office, Lord Nut's needs to expand customer awareness for these flavorful spicy nuts, and get the sales figures over a million dollars a year to justify hiring 8 new employees. Sanjiv is down to only 11 months left before his temporary green card requirements come due in March of 2015, which gives this particular presentation a real sense of urgency to secure a deal inside the Shark Tank.
Lord Nut Levington before Shark Tank UpdateI was unable to find out who is behind the Lord Nut Levington's creative story-telling designs and artwork, but I imagine Sanjiv Patel had a big part making these nut's anything but boring when it comes to this very creative packaging. I honestly believe every single business in existence could learn a thing or two about this marketing strategy that engages customer's with a creative story behind the brand.
It will also be very interesting if Patel brings up the fact he has a very specific deadline to grow this business, or potentially lose everything if he cannot meet the 10 employee minimum to keep operating in the United States. At first I could easily see a deadline imposed by the Immigration Office making the Sharks a little nervous to invest in. But when you have a quality product already available in over 600 stores, and over 7 million Shark Tank Fans that love to support new businesses seen on the Show, the risk of investing in Lord Nut Levington is very minimal.
Most likely Sanjiv will need to immediately hire 8 new employees just to keep up with the demand during Thursday night's Episode 519.
