With a beginning statement "sending online flowers sucks", our newest entrepreneur John Tabis, is coming to the Shark Tank with a much better and easier way to buy flowers online. Now you would think anyone wanting to start a brand new company competing with the likes of 1-800 Flowers and FTD Floral, you best have a very unique business plan in this highly competitive industry, and it appears he does.

Free Shipping on Flowers and Gifts from Florists.com!By implementing a simple 3-click checkout with a flat rate $40.00 per order, The Bouqs sold their 10,000th Bouquet within the first 6 months of going into business. Earlier last year The Bouqs successfully raised $1.1 million in seed funding from Quest Venture Partners and Siemer Ventures
along with reputable angel investors including Mich Mathews, former CMO of Microsoft; Dennis Phelps, partner at Institutional Venture Partners; Andy Dunn, CEO/founder of Bonobos; and Brian Spaly, CEO/founder of Trunk Club. This all happened just prior to John Tablis trying out for the Shark Tank Show, and certainly gave him a big boost of confidence when negotiating with the Sharks.

The Bouqs before the Shark Tank Update

Now here's where this story gets interesting and should make for one of the most memorable rounds of negotiating in Shark Tank History. By watching the previews for this episode 526, we already know John will be asking the Sharks for $258,000.00 for a 3% equity stake in this 100% online flower delivery business barely over a year old.

I don't know about you, but I can't remember a single Shark Tank Contestant ever making a deal with the Sharks offering such a small percentage in any business that's ever been on the Show. Grant it 3% of a very unique and perhaps the easiest way to buy the freshest flowers online could soon be worth a small fortune, the Sharks usually prefer a much larger percentage before they would even consider investing their money, and more importantly their time. This should be most interesting learning how and why John came up with $258k for a 3% stake which is a little out of the ordinary to say the least.

But either way if the Sharks like The Bouqs as a business opportunity or not, millions of people are going to love this new simple way of buying the freshest flowers directly from the growers, and completely eliminating the middleman. My guess is the Sharks will see this as a fantastic opportunity and will offer more money for a larger percentage of this unique business.

Be sure to tune in this Friday night for the first ever 2 Hour Shark Tank Special featuring The Bouqs Bouquets, and some of the most successful products ever seen on the Best Business Reality Show in the History. Do you know what's the most successful product ever featured on Shark Tank? I have my guess which company has become the most successful thus far, with a product that didn't even get a deal from the Sharks, but is now available in several locations all over town.
