My Favorite Shark on the Shark Tank Show
Who is Your Favorite Shark?
Considering I easily knew the first three or four previous questions asked about the Show, my mind quickly added up a total of 9 Sharks which I was 99% confident was the right answer. Oops, the correct answer is 10 total Sharks have so far appeared on the Shark Tank Show. The names of all the Sharks for the first 5 seasons include Kevin O'Lery, Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjevic, Kevin Harrington, Jeff Foxworthy, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, John Paul DeJornia and Steve Tisch.
The next question who's my favorite Shark was a question I took a long time thinking about before I ultimately made up my mind. In fact, I have thought about this question a great deal more which has become the inspiration to write this article. The more I thought about the question, the more I realized it's a two-edged sword. Is my favorite Shark the one I would most like to meet someday and potentially become friends with? Or the Shark who could add the most value to whatever product or service was being pitched at that time?
Is it really "always about the money" as Kevin O'Leary would say, or about the friendship's made that no amount of money could ever replace? That is one question every single Shark Tank Contestant will honestly need to answer themselves.
My favorite Shark is,,, it would most likely come down to Mark Cuban, Daymond John or Lori Greiner. In a perfect world, I would love to work with all 3 of them, but the question required me to pick just one.
Taking everything into consideration, the Shark I would choose is Daymond John. I think it mainly has to do with his no B.S. approach when it comes to his quick decision making I respect the most. Having the opportunity to talk with him on twitter a few times certainly always made my day, which also helped tip the scale his way. But the main reason I would choose Daymond is because if it wasn't for him, the inspiration to start the Shark Tank Success Blog might never have materialized.
I almost forgot about this very important fact until I watched the Shark Tank on CNBC last Tuesday night. That episode originally aired on May 19, 2012, which was also my little Brothers birthday who was killed when I was a teenager, and a very easy date for me to remember. The entire Billy Blanks Jr. story seen in the last episode of season 3 really hit home with me, especially concerning his dad. After the episode aired, it was my youngest Son who was just as impressed with Daymond how he handled that deal, and simply asked "I wonder how successful Billy Blanks Jr. is now"?
After remembering exactly what sparked the idea to start this blog in the first place, the question "who is my favorite Shark" is without a doubt "Daymond John". Now after several hundreds of hours studying this Show, and almost 500 posts later, I (we) owe him more than he could possibly ever realize.
So who is your favorite Shark that's been on the Show thus far? If you had the opportunity to work with (or just meet) any Shark Tank Investor, who would it be? And why would you choose that Shark over the others?
