The Red Dress Boutique on Shark Tank

Women's Online Boutique - Episode 605 - 10/17/2014
If there's one Business featured in Shark Tank Season 6 having the potential to inspire thousands of entrepreneurs to start their own business, the Red Dress Boutique could easily be at the top of the list. Not because the Red Dress Boutique has a clothing line, patents or franchise opportunity, but 100% because of this Very Successful Online Brand. I might be wrong about this, but I do believe this is the very first time in "Shark Tank History" that an Online Store with no products of their own will go in front of the Sharks.

The owners of the Red Dress Boutique are Josh and Diana Harbour, who will be appearing inside the Shark Tank this Friday night in Episode 605. The Harbour's story is not only a very interesting how the Red Dress Boutique first started, it's also been very, very profitable along the way.

I'm still having a hard time comprehending these impressive numbers generated by this little boutique, but then again, a whopping 95% of the orders come directly from the Online Store. In just three years time, the online store exploded from $70k a year to over $7 million last year and on-track for $15 million this year.

To grow an Online Clothing Brand that recently moved into a 45,000 square foot warehouse with 60+ employees, would require a huge social networking presence with thousands of loyal "returning" customers. At the time of this writing, the Red Dress Boutique has over 1.2 million "likes" on FaceBook, which, yes, that alone speaks volume's how popular the Red Dress Boutique Brand has become.

The Red Dress Boutique before the Shark Tank Update

First off I'd like to say the Harbour's have been big Shark Tank Fan's from the first season, and contributes a lot of their successful business decisions because of the Show. Studying Shark Tank negotiations in great detail can and will pay huge benefits, even if you never make it, but in this case they did. No doubt the whole experience is a dream come true on many levels.

Now as far as getting a deal with the Sharks, this dream may have also come true, especially when the investors learn how fast the Red Dress Boutique Brand is growing.
Another clue the Harbour's made a deal with the Sharks was the new 45,000 square foot warehouse in the above-mentioned article. The actual Red Dress Boutique is located on Baxter Street in Athens, Georgia, but the new warehouse is in Los Angeles, California.

Now why would Red Dress Boutique move 95% of their multi-million dollar "online" business clear across the country, and coincidentally to the same city where they produce the Shark Tank Show? That's a very good question, and one I look forward to learning all about this Friday night on ABC.
