Table Jack on Shark Tank
Fortunately an entrepreneur by the name of Steve Christian, who's been in the restaurant industry for 20 years, invented a solution called the Table Jack, and now coming to the Shark Tank Show in episode 606. Steve invented a small table jack device that mounts directly to the table, and can easily be stabilized with your foot. Here's a quick video of Steve demonstrating how quick and easy it is to stabilize a restaurant table with the Table Jack.
It sure looks like the perfect simple-to-use product most restaurants would be interested installing on their wobbly tables doesn't it? Our kitchen table also has a little wobble, so I thought I'd see how much they cost. Who knows, with a product that also solves a real problem in a lot of kitchens, they might be running a special leading up to Shark Tank Episode 606 this Friday night. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the Table Jack website has been updated for quite some time.
According to the site, Christian doesn't sell the Table Jacks directly to the consumer, but rather through Authorized Dealers. After visiting several site's on the list, I still couldn't find any listing about how much a set of Table Jacks costs. After spending way too much time trying to find a dealer that has them in stock, I happened to click on the button on top of the site simply marked "FMP". This takes you to the Franklin Machine Products website which finally had the information I was looking for, but for some reason is not listed in the Authorized Dealers list. If you're considering purchasing the Table Jack online, you might want to save yourself a lot of time and start there first.
Table Jacks before the Shark Tank UpdateBy watching a lot of Table Jack videos on You-Tube, there's no question this is the perfect solution for wobbly tables at restaurant's, and kitchen tables for that matter. The one small little problem the Table Jacks seem to have is the installation process mounting them directly to the table. In fact, the website also has a list of Authorized Installer's to make sure the Jacks are correctly installed.
If you're the do-it-yourself type of person, Steve also has a Table Jacks Training Video Here. It's sounds a little confusing at first, but really, it can't be that hard to install a set of table jacks, can it???
Check out the Table Jacks Stabilizer's on the Shark Tank this Friday night, and see if the Sharks will help solve the annoying table wobbling problem once and for all.
