Lip Bar on Shark Tank

Shark Tank February 6, 2015
You might be wondering what does Lipstick and a Bar have in common when coming up with this Brands name. Sure a Lip Bar could be conceived as the product within the tube, but, in this case, we really are talking about a Lip Stick Bar. And not just any bar, but a Lip Stick Bar on wheels similar to a food truck.
Butler named the majority of her products after drinks you'd find in a bar, but to bring the entire theme together, she envisioned turning a food truck into a portable Lip Stick Bar.
In October 2013, Melissa started a crowdfunding campaign at Indiegogo trying to raise $27,000.00 for Her Lip Bar Truck. The funding campaign ended a month later successfully raising over $13,500.00 from over 300 backers. All the financial backers received their rewards as promised, but as far as I can tell, she's still working on her ultimate dream bringing lip stick directly to the consumer.
The Lip Bar before the Shark Tank UpdateThe Food Truck Business Opportunities has been featured on the Shark Tank a few times with the very successful Cousin's Maine Lobster and Baby's Bad Ass Burgers. But a Lip Stick Bar Truck is unlike anything the Sharks have ever seen before. I could see this being a very hard sell convincing the Shark Tank Investors to invest in this unique concept of a mobile storefront if it's part of the sales pitch. Selling this product at larger retail stores and directly online, now that's a different story the Sharks might like. The website looks great and probably a lot cheaper and more profitable than a Food Truck servicing one corner at a time for this niche product.
Check out the Lip Bar on the Shark Tank Show this Friday night and see if there's a mobile Lip Stick Bar coming to your area soon.
