Custom Sandals Made In Uganda - Episode 617 - 2/13/2015

Custom Made Sandals from Uganda
Sseko Designs "Custom-Made Sandals"
Most Inspirational Shark Tank Success Story
The Sseko Design Custom Sandals is on a mission like no other Shark Tank product seen thus far. The entrepreneur who started Sseko Designs (pronounced Say-Ko) is Liz Forkin Bohannon, who will be appearing on the Shark Tank Show with her husband, Ben Bohannon. When Liz first went to Uganda at the age of 22 years old, it wasn't to start a new business but to learn about the extreme poverty and lack of higher education. What she learned was only 20% of the students graduate High School and less than 2% graduate from College. Liz became good friends with several young Uganda Women all wanting to further their education, but it was the lack of jobs earning money for tuition being the main obstacle. So what does this Highly Ambitious soon-to-be entrepreneur do? She starts a Chicken Farm!

Fortunately, it didn't take Bohannon long before deciding on a better business plan helping more Uganda Women in the form of custom made sandals. Every pair of Sseko Design Sandals is made by a young Uganda Female earning money to go to college. The school system has a nine-month delay between High School and College for the sole purpose of raising the tuition funds, and that's also the length of employment at Sseko Designs. For every dollar saved for college making custom sandals for Sseko Designs, the Bohannon's also match this amount furthering their education.

Here's the Sseko Success Story how this product's already doing prior to the Shark Tank Show.

Sseko Designs before Shark Tank Update

The Sseko Designs Sandals has so far sent at least 50 Uganda women to college before their appearance on the Shark Tank. With an inspirational story such as this, I can only imagine this number will quickly multiply soon after Episode 617 airs tonight, February 13, 2013. Every single Shark Tank product that has a higher purpose besides just making money for the investors have all become very successful after appearing on the Show. Most people will gladly support a business such as Sseko Designs knowing you're getting a custom made quality product and helping change someone's life at the same time.

Liz and Ben have already grown Sseko Designs Sandals to become Uganda's largest footwear exporter in the country. I'm not sure how big the next largest footwear exporter is, but a very impressive number to already be #1 for this new industry in Uganda supporting Women's education.

Make Money Selling Sseko Design Sandals

To help sell more custom sandals and employ even more Uganda Women wanting to go to College, the Sseko Designs is currently hiring Independent Sales Rep's in several States. If you already have the contacts in place, this might be an excellent opportunity selling the latest Shark Tank product in established retail locations. I wonder why other Shark Tank products haven't thought about implementing a sales strategy like this before?
