How To Get A Shark Tank Investor's AttentionI was going through all the new comments left overnight on the Shark Tank Success Blog verifying any information before getting published, especially if it has a website address included. The comment was for the Sky Rider Machine invented by Scott Olsen, the inventor of the Roller Blades, seen in Shark Tank Season 3.
What caught my attention on this particular comment was a new company by the name of Living World Technologies that landed the contract to completely re-design the Sky Ride Technology's website. Seems how I haven't done an update on the SkyRide Technology yet, I was naturally interested to see how much progress they've made since being featured on the Shark Tank Show. Did you know the SkyRide is now a major attraction on the Carnival Vista Cruise Lines?
The new website designed by Living World Technologies is an attractive WordPress design but IMO seemed to be lacking more updated videos with the SkyRider in action. What caught my attention about Living World Technologies and was the inspiration behind this blog post, was the fact this company is going way out of the way to get Shark Tank Investor Mark Cuban to notice this new start-up from Austin, Texas.
In fact, not only does the business mention Mark Cuban and the Shark Tank every chance it gets on social media, they've already set up an Investment Opportunity page that if I didn't know any better, was specifically written for Mark Cuban himself. Someone might want to re-check the heading on that page before Mark, or any potential investor reads it, hint, hint.
The Living World Technologies is run by a group of young entrepreneurs who want to in part, change the way web hosting and data centers are being run by using 100% natural energy. The entire vision of the Living World Technologies is an extraordinarily huge goal that almost boggles the mind, especially when you consider how this new start-up is already starting to build an 8-acre complex making its own energy and producing zero waste and zero pollution. The Living World Technologies might be starting out building websites along with a host of other Internet-related services, but the overall vision of the environmentally friendly 8-acre complex is going to take a Shark Tank-size investment to make this dream a reality.
From everything I learned about Living World Technologies, it's clear this new start-up is very focused on making an environmentally friendly campus a reality, in fact, they already own the land and beginning to build their dream from the ground up, literally. But are these highly motivated young entrepreneurs ready to go after a Shark type investment, especially with Mark Cuban?
The headline for this article reads "How To Get A Shark Tank Investor To Notice You", but it should also read "When You're Ready". Trying to get a Shark or any Angel Investor to invest in a business that's not ready yet, could easily be the only chance you're going to get. I love the motivation behind these young entrepreneurs putting their billion dollar idea into action, but it still might be a little early when it comes to attracting a Shark.
For starters, Living World so far only has one video posted on You-Tube showing the land where the complex is being built. The problem is its only eight seconds long showing the owner of the business, Will, digging a trench on 8 acres of property with the smallest roto-tiller known to man. I might be wrong, but I don't think that video's going to do Living World Technologies any favors, especially when it comes to attracting early investors. But it's hard not to love the entrepreneurial spirit this short video portrays of a motivated young entrepreneur getting started on building his empire.
