Love Pop Cards on Shark Tank

3-D Holiday Greeting Cards - Episode 712 - 12/11/2015

3-D Pop-up Holiday Cards

What does designing Ships and Pop-Up Holiday Cards have in common? They're called the LovePop Cards that pop-up like magic in 3-D form.  As you open up a Love Pop Card like other holiday or greeting cards on the market, the Love Pop pops out a unique three-dimensional piece of artwork that magically appears. How big is the holiday and greeting cards market? I don't know for sure but after the Love Pop Cards appear on Shark Tank in Episode 712, it's about to get a lot larger.

The entrepreneurs behind the Love Pop Cards are John Wise and Wombi Rode, who'll both be appearing on the next Shark Tank this Friday night. It was just a little over a year ago on November 8, 2014 when Wise and Rose ended
a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter raising over $23,000.00 from 454 financial backers. Compared to a few other successful products that's went on to appear on the Shark Tank the total amount raised might not seem too impressive for a new start-up. But unlike most Shark Tank Contestants that haven't attracted outside investors until after appearing on the Shark Tank, the Love Pop Greeting Cards did just that. In fact, these 3-D Cards have already successfully completed two rounds of funding in this short amount of time.

Love Pops crowdfunding campaign ended in November 2014, and eight months later in June 2015, closed the first round of seed money with two investors for $118,000.00. Now just a few weeks before Love Pop Cards appear on Shark Tank, the business just closed it's first round Series A on November 25, 2015, for $2.6 million. As far as where the Sharks fit into this equation, it's hard to say until Episode 712 airs this Friday night on ABC, but no doubt, the Love Pop 3-D Cards Business is growing at a phenomenal rate even before the Show.

The List of LovePop 3-D Cards range from a variety of Christmas Cards, Birthday Cards, Greeting Cards, Get Well Cards, 3-D Wedding Cards and the list goes on. In fact, this new business grew from a successful Kickstarter campaign a little over a year ago to over 50 LovePop Cards on the market.

Watch the Love Pop Cards on this year's Shark Tank Holiday Episode 712 this Friday Night and see which Shark (if any) invested in the 3-D Cards while they still have a chance.
