Hatch Baby Changing Pad on Shark Tank
Smart Changing Pad with App
coming to the
Shark Tank in Episode 707
The inventors of the Hatch Baby "Smart Changing Pad" is David and Ann-Crady Weiss, who will appear together on the next Shark Tank in Episode 707. Sure, we all know what a changing pad is when it comes to babies, but with the Hatch Baby, you can also keep track of your baby's weight, sleeping habits, feedings and diaper changes directly from the smartphone App. Yes, the Hatch Baby's even smart enough to know how much breast milk has been consumed or how much has been eaten at any given time.
What we do know is the Smart Baby Changing Pad attracted $7 million in a Series A Funding Round soon after auditioning for the Shark Tank. The Funding Round was led by "True Venture's", a $1 billion venture capitalist firm investing in dozens of successful technology-related start-up businesses. The business relationship between True Venture's and the Weiss's dates back to 2007 when True Venture's first invested in a social network site for new-born parents Ann-Crady started and later sold for a substantial profit.
The cost to buy the Hatch Baby Changing Pad is $249.00, or the current discounted rate of a $199 each while the Special Launch Offer'is still valid on the site. For all you Amazon Prime Member's noticing the Hatch Baby's already for sale on Amazon, but not the official site still taking backorders, you might want to think twice.
I wrote about this 3rd party seller on Amazon going by the name "As Seen On Tank" that likes inflating the actual prices for Shark Tank products, and it appears the Hatch Baby has been added to the list. How much does "AsSeenOnTank" sell the Hatch Baby for, a product that still hasn't officially launched? Somehow, some way As Seen On Tank has figured out a way to list it for $399.00 each. Exactly half of what you can pre-order the product for directly from their website. Either way, you'll still have to wait until the Hatch Baby officially hatches itself before this newest Shark Tank product becomes available for shipping.
Watch the Hatch Baby Smart Changing Pad on the next "brand new" Shark Tank Show and see if the Sharks were smart enough to invest in this baby technology while they still had a chance.
