NoPhone on Shark Tank
|The NoPhone compared to an IPhone 6|
The entrepreneur's representing the NoPhone on the Shark Tank in Episode 728, April 8, 2016, is Van Gould and Chris Sheldon. Compared to the competition of high-tech smartphone's that just about everyone carries these days, the No Phone is carving out a niche offering the least amount of options when it come's to a smartphone. The NoPhone doesn't include a functioning camera, screen, music, WiFi or even a phone that works. You can, however, get a selfie mirror upgrade (sticker) so you can, at least, look at yourself while you're carrying around a fake smart phone.

To prove the concept for the dumbest phone in the world, Gould and Sheldon took this rather unusual soon-to-be Shark Tank product to Kickstarter on October 24, 2014. Surprisingly, (I mean that in a positive way because they were probably more surprised than anyone) over 900 financial backers invested $18,316.00 when the Kickstarter campaign ended.
After making a nice chunk of change selling the NoPhone with no useful feature's other than a selfie mirror sticker, the creative entrepreneur's set out to make an even dumber phone. The new phone was named the NoPhone ZERO that's essentially a rectangular block of G-10 resin (I think) cut to the same dimensions as an I-Phone. That's It! A piece of plastic in the shape of a smartphone. The second Kickstarter campaign managed to attract 130 backers for an additional $1239.00 and proving some people will buy just about anything.
