Trobo on Shark Tank
The entrepreneurs bringing the Trobo Story Telling Robot to the Shark Tank is Chris Harden and Jeremy Scheinberg. Like several successful products featured on the Show, the Trobo Robot first proved its concept starting with a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, September 3, 2014. When the crowdfunding campaign ended with a $60,000.00 goal needing to be met according to Kickstarter rules, 471 financial backers pledged $61,000.00 to bring this smart stuffed toy robot to the market. Talk about cutting it close, but is that enough money to develop a high-tech storytelling robot for children?

How do you have a very successful Kickstarter campaign raising over $60k and still end up spending an additional $180,000.00 to bring this product to market? Well, as Chris explains in the video posted below, the Trobo Talking Robot received lots of valuable publicity during the crowdfunding campaign and caught the attention of the National Science Foundation. Fortunately, this new Shark Tank product that raised $61k from backers but cost $240,000.00 bringing to market was awarded a Phase 1 SBIR Grant for $150k from the National Science Foundation. If you've ever thought about running a successful crowdfunding campaign, then this is one video I highly recommend watching. Lots of helpful information.
Trobo Robot Reviews before Shark Tank Episode 728As you might have already guessed, the Trobo Storytelling Robot has amazing positive reviews with most comments rating this new Shark Tank product 5 Stars. One of the reviews partly read "The TROBO is a fantastic gift for anyone with a little one who is interested in things I guess that about sums it up that every child on this planet would like their own Trobo Storytelling Robot. The big question is "Will the Sharks invest in the smart storytelling robot with a retail value only $69.99 each"? That sure sounds like a bargain for an intellegent robot that teaches children real life lessons.
Watch The Trobo Robot on the next Brand New Shark Tank in Episode 728, April 8, 2016, and see if the Sharks are smart enough to invest in this smart Robot made for Kids.
