The KidRunner is coming to the Shark Tank with a high-performance hands-free stroller for jogging and hiking. Now, why hasn't anyone thought of a hands-free jogging stroller before? No doubt, this invention's been tried in the past, but it took someone like Will Wayne from Bend, Oregon to perfect this clever lightweight design. The Kid Runner's unique design was awarded three different patents when it comes to the jogging stroller with an excellent opportunity to transform the entire industry. To compete in this billion dollar a year market, the Kidrunner will need what appears to be a gigantic investment from the Sharks.

Like several entrepreneurs appearing on the Shark Tank the Kid Runner first took the product to Kickstarter to prove the concept in April 2015. Interestingly, unlike most product's testing the invention on Kickstarter before appearing inside the Shark Tank, you couldn't buy the hands-free jogging stroller during the campaign. Well, let me take that back. For a $5000.00 pledge, you'd receive a First Edition Kid Runner along with a two day trip to Bend, Oregon.
Most of the rewards were for physical training camps and fitness programs, but not much on the actual product itself. Needless to say, Will Warne and the team didn't raise much money with the rewards offered to kick start the Kid Runner before the campaign was shut down.

If you like studying what it takes running a successful crowdfunding campaign as much as I do, then you'll also learn some valuable lessons exploring this particular campaign. In theory, it might sound like a good idea, (keep most of the money for further development and not committed to a deadline) but the reality is, most backers only want "the product".

Now, just one year after a not-so-successful product launch, the KidRunner beat the odd's of most successful campaigns and scored a multi-million dollar appearance on the Shark Tank Show. According to a press release dated September 28, 2015, the Kid Runner Jogging Stroller finally went on sale for the first 300 units for only $750.00 each. The press release also stated delivery would begin in four months, but to my knowledge, the Kid Runner's still in pre-production phase. Maybe they should've tried another Kickstarter campaign with the 300 units offered as rewards the second time around? To make things a little more confusing before this product's featured on the Shark Tank, you can't buy or order a Kid Runner until this Friday night after the Episode airs on ABC. What? But I want my KidRunner now. :-(

Watch the Kid Runner on the next Brand New Shark Tank in Episode 723 this Friday night, and see how much the Sharks need to invest in the hands-free Jogging Stroller and bring this to market in a Shark Tank-Sized way.
