The Style Club on Shark Tank
The entrepreneur bringing The Style Club to the Shark Tank is Hilary Novelle, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Hilary started The Style Club in 2012 after becoming a designer for Levis Jeans. What sets this business model apart from most clothing brands seen on the Shark Tank, is Novelle built the entire online company using free social media sites. The Style Clubs best known for limited edition collections and flash sales that sell out within a few minutes time.
In addition to finding up-and-coming new designers online, Hilary collaborates with a few celebrities also having a passion for designing. The first major celebrity starlet to design for The Style Club is Gene Simmons (from KISS) daughter, Sophie Tweed Simmons.
Social Media might have put the Style Club on the map, but it's also getting attention from Urban Outfitters at the same time. You can now buy limited edition Style Club collections directly from Urban Outfitters both on and off line.
Interestingly, The Style Club just announced another clothing collection that will soon be available in Nordstom Stores. But for some reason, it's being held back until after the company appears on the Shark Tank next week. If I didn't know any better, it certainly smells like a Shark might already be involved with this successful online businesses.
Watch The Style Club on a brand new Shark Tank Season 8, Episode 808, November 4, 2016, and see if the Sharks (Daymond John?) invest in the hottest fashion trends going viral on social media.
